'ovf' issues related to mpu 6050 gyroscope for micromouse project

Recommended Posts

We are micromouse team doing it as our final year engineering project. We have a written code for right wall algorithm of our code; quite often the gyro angle value comes out as 'ovf ' on serial monitor. Whenever this happens, we are unable to make turns(right, left, 180deg) because we are using gyroscope to make turn and correct angular deviation. This does not happen all the time, but quite often and whenver ovf is registered in our current angle, the motors never go into the logic of turning condition. They instead go straight, and after robot seems to break out of the code. I have attached code in case you need reference with all serial printing which is how i found out the problem. Any advice would be amazing. If you need any more information, please do contact me.

For a while, I thought ovf is registed as 0 value. Can anyone confirm?

Regards,
Shamil
