martinb
Hi All, I have an mpu-6050 the when sitting flat on the bench reads, X=-236, Y=-212, and Z=14996, when I turn the sensor upside down, X=112, Y=-660, Z=-18988. Why is Z so far negative when its upside down, shouldn't be near zero? I'm using Jeffs example code. Also page 30 of the register map data sheet states the accelerometer output measurement is a 2's complement value. How do I convert to raw ADC values, and can anyone explain how the mpu-6050 calculates this 2's complement output? cheers mb
luisrodenas
Why is Z so far negative when its upside down, shouldn't be near zero? As I understand, No. It works fine. 16384 (aprox) is 1 g of acceleration, and the sign indicates its direction. I don't understand the other question. But if you are asking for the number to multiply your reading and get acceleration in g or m/s, it depends on wich sensibility mode you are using (+-2g +-6g...), and it is mentioned in some point of the datasheet.
